Our Genesis & Creative Mission
Founded on the belief that fashion is both a high art and a rigorous science, the Bangladesh Institute of Fashion & Design Technology (BIFDT) was established to empower local and international design talents with a world-class education.
Rather than relying on outdated academic structures, we modeled our school after the traditional European **Ateliers**. Here, design is learned by doing—draping directly on the dress form, testing the physics of textiles under professional lighting, and understanding the strategic visual languages that turn clothing into brands.
We have built partnerships with leading institutions in Paris and Milan and established a faculty comprised entirely of active practitioners. This ensures that our students learn not just the history of design, but the immediate tools and pipelines used in modern fashion houses today.
